Mark Diaco is a Melbourne-based actor, writer, director and illustrator. He trained at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute and William Esper Studio in New York, co-founded Human Sacrifice Theatre in 2006 and The KIN Collective in 2012, and ran the production company Corner Piece Pictures from 2013 to 2024. He is the author and illustrator of the four-part graphic novel DOORMAN, and the founder of DOOR, a consent-native platform for AI art and storytelling.

He began acting in 2003 and trained in New York at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute and William Esper Studio before returning to Melbourne, where he co-founded Human Sacrifice Theatre in 2006. HST built a reputation for high-end American drama with True West, Glengarry Glen Ross, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and The Long Red Road. In 2012 he co-founded The KIN Collective alongside Noni Hazlehurst, Marg Downey, Chris Bunworth and Michala Banas, producing The Leenane Trilogy and the original work Glimpse.
From 2013 to 2024 he ran Corner Piece Pictures, an independent Melbourne production company, writing, directing and starring in Half Way and ClicK. Screen credits include Blood Vessel and Vessel.
Alongside the work, he spent twenty years as a nightclub doorman across more than thirty Melbourne venues — the experience behind DOORMAN, his four-part graphic novel, and behind DOOR, the consent-native platform for AI art he founded to give artists control over how their work is used.
